booklight

I'd like to introduce you to the Phorm Light Voyager. I was going to say that I might stop working in protest if they ever discontinue this booklight, but while looking for a link for y'all, I see that it's been discontinued. So I resign myself to a quiet panic at the prospect of having to search again for a light that does the job. I don't know what I'll do if it breaks — it really is better than every other booklight I've tried. It lights up a whole sheet of paper evenly (and even does a great job on both pages in an open binder), clips to your work or stands on a table, and folds up into a compact, sturdy package.

I'm a little verklempt now. Ooh, maybe there are some on eBay!

Here's my lovely Light Voyager all closed up, with a highlighter for scale. It's not the smallest light, as you can see. It runs for about a day and a half at work before I have to change the batteries if I'm using it full time. I use rechargeables (Eneloops) and they work great.
